Diabetic hypoglycaemia
Blood glucose <3.5 mmol/L +/- wide variety of symptoms (sweating, palpitations, anxiety, lethargy, impaired vision, confusion, unconsciousness, convulsions, coma). Treatment with oral glucose replacement (10 to 20g of fast-acting form of carbohydrate): 3-6 glucose tablets, 50-100mL lucozade energy, 2-4 spoonfuls of sugar in a drink, 4 large jelly babies, 1-2 tubes dextrogel (each tube contains 10g glucose)
