‘Patient’ of carer must receive either:
Personal Independence Payment
Disability Living Allowance
Attendance Allowance
Constant Attendance Allowance
Armed Forces Independence Payment
Carer must be:
>16y
Spend at least 35 hours a week caring for ‘patient’
Not in full-time education
Income is less than £123 a week after tax, national insurance and expenses
